Description

The carpenter trouser (or ‘pant’ over the pond) was originally a workwear workhorse, and this design follows suit with double-knee construction, where reinforced sections were designed to endure the demands of workshop use. Twin-needle stitching carries that same spirit of utility, while slanted side pockets, copper rivets, belt loops, and a handy utility pocket provide both practicality and ease.

Cut from an indigo-dyed selvedge denim woven in Japan, this cloth has been stone washed for a softened hand and a gently broken-in character. The process brings out subtle highs and lows in the fabric, highlighting the depth of the indigo while preserving the durability and structure that makes selvedge denim so enduring.

Based on a classic workwear cut, with a straight leg, and mid-rise to give the silhouette a timeless balance of heritage and refinement.
